Iliffe Digital Media oversaw a unique joint collaboration between three independent regional press groups, to develop a new property portal engine capable of competing against the market leaders in this sector.
The result was property portal software, which for Iliffe News and Media manifests itself as HomesNow. Other partners in this joint initiative included the Claverley Group – owners of the Wolverhampton Express & Star – and the Berkshire-based Baylis Media Group.
HomesNow currently offers potential house hunters a daily selection of more than 22,000 properties on the market, either for sale or rent in the markets served by Iliffe. The portal also offers an extensive back office reporting facility that enables estate agents to manage their property portfolio and assess portal performance at any given time.
The founding partners utilised some offshore development, to deliver the engine that integrates a wide spread of automated daily feeds of property data coming in from estate agents. The other portals now using this engine include Home of Property, Kent Homes and Find a Home Today.
HomesNow is also available via mobile apps, that serve both the iPhone and iPad platforms. These are available for free download, via the App Store.
